So Today We Did A Bit Of Science. And We Used Food Colouring Cornflour And Water And A Ice Cream Container + Chopsticks. So We Put Water And Food Colouring And Cornflour In The Ice Cream Container Then Mix With Chopsticks. And Then The Mixture Gets Extremely Gooey And Thick. And Once You Put Your Hand In It It Feels Gross And It Like This Liquid On Your Hand And Then Turns Into A Solid Because It Dry Up Extremely Quickly.

WARNING!!!!

ONCE YOU HAVE PUT IT ON YOUR HANDS IT WILL NOT COME OFF UNTIL A FEW HOURS...

Puddle Experiment

In Science, Today Were Experimenting With Puddles. We Went Out To The Courts And Poured Water At 11:45 And Outlined It With Chalk. We Went Back To Check At 12:00 And There Was Barely Any Water Left  And I Outlined That Bit Of Water And There Was Only A Bit Of Water Because It Had All Evaporated, And Something I Found Interesting While I Was Waiting Was That Seem's Group Was Out There In The Sun Like My Group But, The Had Sooooo Much Water Left On There Puddle Even More Than The People Putting There's In The Shade. I Was Really CONFUSED.
I FIGURED IT OUT.
There One Was Not That Dispersed As Our One.
If It More Spread Out It Will Evaporate More Faster.

Today Sally Came In Our Class Room And Told Us About Waste Water. Waste Water Is The Water That We Have At Our House  Expect That The Water That We Wash Our Hand With The Water The We Brush Our Teeth With The Water For Our Shower Or Bath  Is Waste Water. The Waste Water Goes Trough Sewage Pipes And Get Filtered So We Can  Drink It And Do Stuff With It.

In The EXPERIMENT  We Put Salt In Water And Put Blue, Red And Yellow Dye In The Water And We Used A Tube And We Put The Tube In All Of The Water With Dye And WE MADE A RAINBOW!!!!!!!

AFTER The Roll (AT SCHOOL) WE Had Cross Country. Which Is a Race For students To Run And To Get Fit. We were Doing The Cross Country For The Fun Run.

At First The Juniors Ran Inside Our School. First It Was Yr 1 Girls than there where Yr 1 Boys. The Yr 2 To Yr 3. Than It Was The 2 Laps People (Me And Other People) We Had To To Go Out Of the school Down a Hill Then Go Up A REALLY LOOOOOOOONG  AND HIGH Hill And Then You Turn LEFT Go Down Back Into The School And Do It Again Then You Go past THE FINISH LINE!!!

It Count’s In Yr Level. I Was Yr 4 And I Was The Only Yr 4 So I Came First But Not Exactly I Actually Came 5th With The Yr 5 6 and 3. In The 2 Laps People Any Fit Person Can Come In Except Juniors. And The First Person In The 2 Laps People WAS SETU SECOND FAA I'D THIRD Was J.J

Than it Was Yr 4rs yr 5 and 6. All Of them did 1 lap NOT 2 LAPS!!!! And We Sat There Cheering For EVERYONE!!!

So Did the Junior Oh And Also There Were Paper GoldMedals And SilverMedals BronzeMedals

For The People Who Came 1st 2nd and 3rd.

AND IT WAS SOOO MUCH FUN DOING CROSS COUNTRY AND THE FUN RUN!!!!!!!

WHAT IS MATARIKI?

Matariki is a small cluster of stars in the night sky. Matariki is the maori new year because in the olden days maori people used the matariki stars and there next year. There are lots of Myths and legends about matariki like the seven sisters about papatuanuku and ranginui and there are lots and lots and LOTS.

WHEN IS MATARIKI?

Matariki is always there but there so much sunlight that matariki star only show themselves at late april and comes again at middle june.

HOW DO YOU CELEBRATE MATARIKI ?

You can have a feast or sit next to a bonfire.

In mayroad school were lucky enough to have sally.

Sally shows and does science with water.

Sally showed us that if you put your hand in a glass of water your hand goes HUGE and if you put your hand in the container without the water it doesn't go any bigger.

I am putting popcorn kernels in the container of water. Do you know why the water still hasn't got out of the container because the liquid molecules love each other so much that even when It looks like the water is kind of out of the container it actually is but the water molecules love each other so much the hold each other together.

STRAW EXPERIMENT

My Prediction: So what I think what will happen is when you put the straw in the water the water will go higher because of the pressure is going to make it go higher. When I OBSERVED the empty cup with a Straw in it. It did noting. When you put water you're hand in the water IT GOES HUGE And it didn't Float so that means that water is heavier than the straw
